A little about me.

Well let me begin my pointing out that I had originally had grand plans for this bio. Not so much for it's content, more for how I was going to put it together. I grabbed a copy of my index page html and started editing. A general feeling of pride washed over me as I said to myself "Self, you sure are cool".

Then I realized, "Wow, I'm making this much harder than I need to. Why not just write a regular blog entry and make a permanent link back to it. Then there is no worry about putting together another page or any of the added confusion that goes with it." So here it is. Lets start out with a few vital stats.

Real Name: Brandon

Location: Eugene, Oregon

Sex: Male

Height: 5'9", a giant amongst... well... children I guess. Young, short children.

Weight: Don't know, I don't own a scale.

DOB: 07/01/78 (posting this is probably going to come back to bite me)

Blood Type: Why would anyone want to know that? You're just a bunch of sick vampires.

Ok, how about a little meat to this bio? As I pointed out above, I live in rainy Eugene, Oregon. And though I was born here and live here now, this has not always been true. In truth I spent the majority of my younger years living in Klamath Falls.

Now I just want to make it clear. I really liked living in KF. But let's face facts, it's a bit of a poedunk little town. That being said, I went a years worth of elementary, all through junior high, and all through high school there. What's more, I suck around and went to college there too. In my defense, I did look at other schools, but OIT came through with the best scholarships. I didn't pay dime one for college.

What did I study you ask? Mechanical engineering of course! And that leads us directly to here, work. I'm now working in the industry, as a customer service engineer for a producer of high end engineering softwares. Specifically I work in the area of engineering analysis, supporting our users and doing some minor consulting type work. Sounds fun huh?

So is there more to me than just hardcore engineering coolness? Of course. If you've read this site at all in the past you've probably picked up on a few points:

1: I like sharp stuff. Knives are a bit of an obsession of mine. I've got way more of them than I need. If that's possible.

2: I like to hunt. Deer season is one of the biggest holidays of the Brandon calendar year.

3: This is more recent, but I like fish. Well liking them isn't recent, owning them is. I've got a 30 gal. aquarium that I swear one of these days I will post pictures of.

4: Being the renaissance man that I am, I'm also an artist.... Ok, have you stopped laughing yet? It's ok, get it out. I can wait.... Done? Good. No really I'm an artist. See the link up there at the top to "art". That is specifically mine. Not just art in general. It is however just random sketches I've posted and I don't keep it well updated. So please don't think that what you see there is all I do. Actually that's a very small sample. I like to dabble in many mediums.

5: I've got something of a deranged sense of humor. Just think "The Far Side".

6: I like to read. Science Fiction largely, but not exclusively. I think I've read near 40 books in the last year. Not too bad when you look at how many the average person reads in a year. Then again it could just be an indicator that I don't have much of a life.

7: I don't have much of a life. Ok that's a joke. I'm sure most of what I do probably seems boring to every single person on the planet that isn't me, but that could be said for anyone.

Well I think I hit the high points there. I hope this has given you a little insight into who I am and maybe made this blog a little more interesting to read. My hole goal in this was to give you, the reader, a better feeling for who I am. Maybe even give you a desire to come back. We'll see if it works. I know it actually bothers me when a blog doesn't have any sort of a bio. Now I'm no longer just a big hypocrite!

Being that this isn't the standard day to day post I will update and edit it as applicable, so if I've missed anything I can fix it later.
